Poker Dice Rules

Five dice are used to play the game.

The game consists of thirteen turns.

Each player rolls the dice up to three times in each turn.

Next to the board for where the dice are rolled there is a list of all the required combinations / categories.

The game object is to score as many points as possible in all the required categories altogether.

All the positions in the list must be filled.

The dice are rolled by clicking on the "Roll" button that appears when there is your turn. Players are obliged to roll the dice at least once. The other two rolls are optional. It is the player who decides whether to roll the dice again and again or to enter the score of the first roll to any of the required categories. Subsequent rolls may be performed by all the dice but it is possible to put the selected dice aside and roll the remaining ones again. The dice to be put aside after the roll are moved to the bottom of the board. Clicking a selected die moves it there. Then the dice remaining on the board are rolled. Like during the first roll, it is done by clicking on any part of the board.

Each turn score must be entered in the category list. If – despite of three rolls – a player did not manage to roll the required set of dice, it is necessary to select any configuration to enter the score.

While marking the position in the list with a cursor the information about how many points are to be scored for the roll in the selected category is displayed. It is the player who decides in which position the score is to be entered.

If the set of dice rolled does not fit any category, the zero score is displayed in all the positions to be filled. The player must decide which category is to be given up and must enter the score. It is an irreversible decision and even rolling the set of dice fitting the category with a zero score entered will not allow changing the score.

CATEGORIES AND SCORING

Each player is supposed to roll thirteen different combinations of varied score value:

Aces - the sum of single spots rolled on all dice;
Twos - the sum of twos rolled on all dice;
Threes - the sum of threes rolled on all dice;
Fours - the sum of fours rolled on all dice;
Fives - the sum of fives rolled on all dice;
Sixes - the sum of sixes rolled on all dice;
2 pairs - 20 points;
3 of a kind - three dice of the same number of spots - 25 points;
4 of a kind - four dice of the same number of spots - 35 points;
Straights - dice of sequential spot value, i.e. 6,5,4,3,2 (so-called big straight) or 5,4,3,2,1 (so-called small straight) - 30 points; no difference between the scoring of small and big straight;
Full house - three dice of the same value and two other dice of the same value, e.g. 6,6,6, 4,4 - 30 points;
5 of a kind - five dice of the same number of spots - 50 points;
Chance – the sum of spots on all the dice rolled.

There are also point bonuses in the game.

Possible point bonuses:

For scoring the sum of 60 or more points in 1-6 categories (simple) - 20 points;
In each figure category (2 pairs, threes, fours, straight, full house, 5 of a kind) extra points are scored for closing the category before all the 3 rolls are used (5 points for each roll unused), thus e.g. 2 pairs scored after the first roll are counted 25+(2*5)=35 points;
For closing all the categories in the bottom part with a non-zero score - 30 points;
For rolling 5 dice of a kind more than once during the game 2 kinds of bonuses are scored:
  • 40 points for each extra roll of the figure (apart from the first);
  • The figure can be used in any category (fits everywhere) and extra standard scoring may be received in the category.
Extra bonuses for rolling 5 dice of a kind are received only when the first dice of a kind rolled were scored in the proper category, e.g. if a player decides to enter 0 in the category at any time and then rolls 5 dice of a kind, no extra point bonus will be received.

GAME OVER

The game is over when each player rolls the dice in the 13th turn.

The player scoring the most points altogether wins.
