The Boston Celtics seem to be on their way to another possible title run and the Chicago Bulls are a team that were once on the rise, but have fail to live up to expectations this season without Ben Gordon in the lineup.
With a 27-10 record and a first place standing in the Atlantic division right now the Boston Celtics are sitting pretty, but they have been without and will be without Kevin Garnett for at least two more weeks which could result in the Celtics struggling like they did in last season’s playoffs without the Big Ticket.
When the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics went head to head in the first round of the playoffs last season it resulted in an epic playoff series that will be remembered for years to come, but even though the Bulls put up a valiant effort they still weren’t able to overcome a Celtics team without KG in the paint.
Thursday night the Bulls will go into Boston to play the Celtics for the third time this season. Unfortunately, the Bulls haven’t had the same success they had against Celtics in the playoffs as they have lost the two games they have played against Boston this season by huge margins.
In the first game of the season between these two teams the Boston Celtics blew out the Chicago Bulls by 28 points with a 118-90 victory in Boston. In the second game between these two teams this season, the Celtics dominated the Bulls for the second game in a row with a 26 point victory with a 106-80 win.
As of right now, the Celtics are favored to win this matchup with the Bulls with a -6.5 point spread. Boston may be without Kevin Garnett in this one, but I still believe the Celtics will win this game by a convincing margin like they did twice already this season.
