This season has been a turn in the right direction for a Milwaukee Bucks team that hasn’t really seen success since George Karl was the head coach and Ray Allen and Sam Cassell were their star players. That was quite a long time ago and even though sharp shooter Michael Redd has done what he can to try and get the Bucks back in playoff contention, his time is up as Milwaukee’s go to guy. The Bucks now look to rookie phenom Brandon Jennings for leadership.
Now the Milwaukee Bucks are still pretty far off from being a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference compared to the likes of the Orlando Magic or the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they have been much better than anticipated this season lead by a rookie point guard that almost everyone thought was overrated coming into the league this season.
At the beginning of the season, the Bucks were looking really good and after Jennings dropped 55 points against the Golden State Warriors: a new NBA star was born and everyone was jumping on the Milwaukee Bucks bandwagon. This, however, was a little premature as the young squad started to struggle.
Fortunately, the struggles for the Milwaukee Bucks seem to be over as they have been able to get back on track and come into this game against the Utah Jazz with a 34-29 record and a four game winning streak with the most notable wins coming against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
Despite the Bucks getting back to form and ready to compete in the playoffs, the Utah Jazz are one of the best teams in the league and quickly rising in the Western Conference standings. They will also have a four game winning streak coming into Friday’s matchup in Milwaukee.
