The NFC East division rivals have done it again! No matter what seems to happen in the regular season, no matter which team goes through slumps or ups and downs, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys always seem destined to meet late in the season with the NFC East division title on the line.
The NFC East division is amongst the toughest in the NFL led by some of the best quarterbacks in the league with the likes of Tony Romo with the Dallas Cowboys, Donovan McNabb with the Philadelphia Eagles and Eli Manning with the New York Giants. The Washington Redskins are competitive from time to time, but they have been struggling over the past few seasons.
Much like the Redskins this season, the New York Giants have also struggled and are basically out of the running the playoff picture in the NFC coming into week 17, but the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are in the thick of it as they both have clinched playoff berths coming into the last game of the regular season.
Despite both teams clinching playoff spots heading into this game, the NFC East title is on the line and that can be worth its weight in gold as it will without doubt give the winner some much needed momentum going into the postseason.
As of right now the Dallas Cowboys are favored to win this NFC East showdown for the division title by three points and honestly, that sounds just about right to me as they game will almost certainly go down the wire with the game being decided in the closing seconds with a field goal or a late touchdown.
The Eagles are the better all around team in my opinion, but the Cowboys are riding high with confidence and will not be stopped in this game.
