NFC Championship: Minnesota Vikings (+4) @ New Orleans Saints
Sun. Jan. 24th 6:40pm EST
Total: 53
Get ready for another game full of nonstop offense with Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings going up against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints!
Last weekend the Vikings and Saints just dominated their opponents with a good mix of a potent offense and lockdown defenses.
For the New Orleans Saints it was basically all Reggie Bush for once as the once great college running back out of USC was able to have a breakout game at just the right time with a pair of touchdowns and some amazing moves that made us all remember the Bush that won the Heisman trophy a few years back.
Needless to say, the Saints crushed Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals and have advanced to play Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship game this weekend.
For the Minnesota Vikings it was all Brett Favre on offense as he threw for four touchdowns for his second consecutive game (three to Sidney Rice) and became the first 40 year old quarterback to win a playoff game.
Along with another classic Brett Favre performance in the playoffs, the Vikings defense was perhaps the most impressive part of this NFC Divisional playoff game for Minnesota as Jared Allen and company absolutely dominated Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys offense by limiting to just three points.
This weekend the two best teams in the NFC conference will go head to head in what will, in my opinion, be the best game of the year as Brett Favre will be looking to make yet another appearance in the Super Bowl before heading off into the sunset once again.
Despite the New Orleans Saints sporting a -4 point spread at the sportsbook in their favor, I believe that the Vikings will come out on top in this one!
