Fantasy football quarterbacks are extremely important to those who play, and ESPN has just updated its list for 2010. There’s also a very strong correlation to the 2010 Super Bowl odds.

Here’s the analysis from Belmont.ag.

Below is the list of top-10 fantasy quarterbacks, with their Super Bowl odds-to-win in parenthesis.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints (9/1)

Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers (10/1)

Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts (7/1)

Tom Brady, New England Patriots (12/1)

Matt Schaub Houston Texans (30/1)

Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers (8/1)

Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys (9/1)

Brett Favre, Minnesota Vikings (10/1)

Kevin Kolb, Philadelphia Eagles (20/1)

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens (10/1)

As you can see from this list, having a top fantasy quarterback means you have a great shot of winning the Super Bowl. The big exception is Houston and Matt Schaub.

Houston finished 9-7 last year by virtue of winning its final four games. It was the first winning season for the franchise, but they still have never made the playoffs.

Coach Gary Kubiak was signed to a contract extension through 2012. That should help the stability of the franchise, but they’re not Super Bowl contenders no matter how many points they put up.

The top odds teams without a highly ranked fantasy quarterback are Pittsburgh and the NY Jets. The Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger would be on that list, but he’s suspended for the first four games.

The Jets will rely on defense for their Super Bowl run.
