We can’t seem to stop talking about Tracy McGrady. This guys wants to go to a contender – and a new wish seems to pop up every week.
This NBA offseason has been chalk full of trades, big-name free agent signings and a lot of speculation, but despite the really big-name being off of the market, there are still some impact players available that could potentially help an NBA franchise become title contenders.
One of those NBA players is two-time scoring champion Tracy McGrady. Even though it was just a few years ago that McGrady was considered amongst the elite players in the league, the seven-time All-Star is arguably past his prime and no longer a hot commodity in the NBA.
With that being said, becoming a free agent this summer has been a humbling experience for McGrady as he hasn’t really gotten much interest around the league as most franchises see him as nothing more than an injury prone superstar that has more risk than reward.
Despite being arguably one of the most talented offensive players in this league, McGrady has had injury problems throughout his entire NBA career and has really struggled to stay healthy, especially throughout his time with the Houston Rockets.
So this offseason the only thing teams have been thinking about when considering signing Tracy McGrady is whether or not he can stay healthy and if acquiring the superstar shooting guard is really worth the risk.
Apparently, the Chicago Bulls believe it is worth the risk as they seem to be the one team in the league most interested in signing McGrady.
Unfortunately, even though the Bulls could use a starting shooting guard, if Chicago were to sign McGrady he would have to come off the bench next season. Even though this would be a serious turnoff for many superstars around the league, McGrady knows his roll and would happy except the backup role in the windy city.
There have been talks about McGrady possibly signing with the Miami Heat or the Los Angeles Clippers, but in the end I believe he will be the newest member of the Chicago Bulls.

Chicago Bulls: 25 to 1
