Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings (-3)

Besides the San Diego Chargers in the AFC conference, there has been no team in the NFL as good coming into the second round of the playoffs than Tony Romo’s Dallas Cowboys!
It has been a long time since the Dallas Cowboys have won a playoff game, not since 1996 in fact, but they were finally able to get that monkey off their back last weekend in Cowboys Stadium with their second straight convincing win over their division rivals in the Philadelphia Eagles.
Even though most people focus on the offense with superstar quarterbacks and playmakers, the defense plays and extremely pivotal role in NFL football as without a solid defense threat, teams never do well in the playoffs.
This season the Dallas Cowboys have had their fair share of struggles on both sides of the football, but what has been most impressive coming into the second round of the playoffs has been their inspired defense led by defensive end DeMarcus Ware.
With two straight shutouts against the Washington Redskins (17-0) and the Philadelphia Eagles (24-0) coming into the playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys defense is arguably the best defense in the league right now and continued their dominance with another impressive performance against Philly with a 34-14 victory.
This weekend the Dallas defense will have their work cut out for them going up against arguably the best offense in football led by future hall of fame quarterback Brett Favre and running back Adrian Peterson.
The Minnesota Vikings may have struggled in the last few weeks of the season with their offense, but that got right back on track in the last game of the regular season with a huge win over the New York Giants, who beat the Cowboys twice this season, 44-7.
As of right now the Vikings are favored with a -3 point spread and I believe they will cover that spread with relative ease if they can keep the Dallas defense at bay.
