The Tennessee Titans had a rough start to the season last year as they just couldn’t get anything going with veteran quarterback Kerry Collins behind center which resulted in losing the first six games of the season, but after head coach Jeff Fisher came to the conclusion that something had to change, he put in the face of the franchise in versatile quarterback Vince Young.
Even though this move turned a lot of heads and was thought to be risky to say the least, Young surprised everyone by immediately getting back to form and turning this team back into a playoff contender in the AFC Conference.
Obviously, Young had his fair share of help as he had arguably the best running back in the league behind him in Chris Johnson, but it was a apparent that the former Texas Longhorns quarterback was back and ready to get his NFL career back on track after a couple of disappointing seasons.
Now that Vince Young’s career seems to be back on track and headed in the right direction, the potential perennial Pro Bowl needs to keep his nose clean and stay out of trouble.
Unfortunately, it didn’t last long before Young was in the news once again for all the wrong reasons as he was involved in an altercation at a strip club in Texas.
This was the last thing that head coach Jeff Fisher and the Tennessee Titans wanted to hear as they figured their franchise was headed in direction with a franchise quarterback that was finally able to turn things around, but even though the news of the altercation involving Young was thought to be devastating to the quarterback and the franchise, apparently NFL commissioner Roger Goodell didn’t feel the dust up was worth a suspension.
Now the Tennessee Titans can get past this little speed bump and get back to playing football as Vince Young will not be suspended and next season the Titans could be playoff bound.
Odds to win the Super Bowl:
Tennessee Titans: 28 to 1
